Volunteering for Scouting is one of the most fun, exciting and rewarding things you can do. At 5th Carlton, we are always on the lookout for new volunteers to help ensure that the Group will be around for many years to come.
All volunteers can give as much or as little time as they would like to, and we will match the opportunities that fit to the time that you have available and the skills that you can pass on. If you would like to help pass on Skills for Life to the next generation, please contact us using the form below.
Whether have just turned 14 and are looking to volunteer as part of your Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme, or perhaps you are a former member of Scouting, who would like to get involved again, we will be able to help you fit in to our Scouting family at 5th Carlton.

We are always on the look out for new leaders to help run our Beaver Colony, Cub Pack, Scout Troop and Marching Band. Adults can help with our weekly Section meetings as either a Section Leader or an Assistant Section Leader, or if you prefer as an Occasional Helper, and we are flexible to fit to the amount of available time you want to offer. A lot of activities that our young people enjoy, requires training to keep all members safe whilst having a great time. Activities such as climbing, abseiling, archery and kayaking are required to be run by "Skills Instructors", who are people who have been trained in a specific set of skills, and have been assessed as competent and safe to run that activity. With all of our roles, if training is required this can be provided if the activity interests you.
All Training is flexible, with a mix of evening and weekend sessions, complete with drinks and biscuits - some are even fully catered! The amount of training required varies on the role which you take, but all training is aimed to keep it as fun and as relevant as possible.

Could you be our next Secretary?
