5th Carlton Scout Band is proud to be the only active Marching Band the Central Notts Scouts District, and one of a few in Nottinghamshire.​

The band welcomes all members of all Sections at 5th Carlton. We play two types of instrument, which are double snare drums and glockenspiel's, to some well known songs.
If you are an experienced musician, or are starting out on your musical journey you will be more than welcome to join out Band.

​There is no extra charge to be a member of the Band, as this is included in your Subscriptions. Band Practice takes place on Friday evenings from 6:30pm - 7:30pm at our Headquarters. A standard practice will see glockenspiels and the drums practice in separate locations before coming together for a mass practice. ​​
In addition to our Group parades, over the years our Band have performed at a wide variety of events and fetes, these have included:
  • Nottingham Riverside Festival
  • Rushcliffe St George's Day Parade
  • Scouting's Sunrise Camp
  • Friends of Colwick Woods Fete
  • Gedling Rememberance Parade
  • Mayor of Gedling's Rememberance Parade
